Gene Williams is taking his John Deere skills international by serving as an agricultural advisor in Iraq with the U.S. Army. Williams says he sees the same types of problems in Iraq.

PERSON INVOLVED WITH JOHN DEERE TECH PROGRAM TECH Provides New Direction, Bright Career
“I wasn’t your typical TECH student,” says Jose Landeros, a 2004 TECH graduate, now Service Manager. “I didn’t have a background in agriculture. I didn’t grow up tinkering with John Deere equipment.”
What Landeros did have was curiosity and a mechanical ability that could be shaped into a top-notch service technician.
“Once I figured out what a John Deere service technician did, I knew that it was a career that would take me places.”
